Driver/Support Worker

About us

Coast and Country Community Services provides services to people who are transport disadvantaged, including people who are frail aged, younger people with disabilities and their carers living in the Shoalhaven Local Government Area. We are looking for the right person for maternity leave cover for a part-time Driver/Support Worker role.

We have a great team of drivers/support staff working across the Ulladulla/Bay & Basin/Nowra area ready to welcome you to the team. Salary is in accordance with Community Transport Industry NSW Multi Enterprise Agreement 2011, with commencement salary based on experience. The Service offers an attractive package with salary sacrificing opportunities.

Qualifications & experience 

• Minimum NSW C class Driver’s License together with a safe driving record Working with Children Check or willingness to obtain  
• NDIS worker screening check or willingness to obtain 
• 1st Aid Certificate or willingness to obtain

Desirable  

• Experience in a driving/support role in either aged care/Community Services or school transport 
• Experience in providing individual services and transporting Aged, Frail and Vulnerable persons 
• Experience in delivering person centred supports

Tasks & responsibilities 

• Retain current NSW license class required to fulfill duties 
• Support clients around their individual and mobility support needs 
• Utilise safe manual handling practices 
• Provision of service to community members with diverse support needs 
• Administrative tasks as required 
• Take rest breaks as instructed to prevent fatigue 
• Adhering to privacy and confidentiality guidelines 
• Willing to work across our service area of the Shoalhaven between 3 hubs
