THE OPPORTUNITY
This role leads a team of Library Assistants in delivering branch library services and customer experiences. With a focus on day to day processes and procedures, the Dubbo Library Team Leader works collaboratively with the broader Library Team and stakeholders in developing and providing quality services and programs that meet community needs, while supporting the branch library’s continuous improvement plans, strategies and programs.
DUTIES AND KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage daily operations of the branch, including staff, resources and services
- Model, promote and support leadership, decision making and problem-solving through planning, coaching and developing staff
- Deliver excellence in customer service experience and regularly review and evaluate assigned branch programs, plans, and activities
- Support internal and external stakeholder engagement and relationship management

ABOUT YOU
You are a highly motivated library professional with a passion for serving the community. You have previous experience in leading a small team in delivering community based library and information services and programs. You enjoy working with a diverse range of stakeholders to achieve excellence in the delivery of library services.
TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS ROLE
- Diploma in Library and Information Science with eligibility for professional Australian Library and Information Association (ALIA) membership
- Demonstrated understanding and ability to apply library services and customer experience principles in delivering library programs, events and activities
- Demonstrated experience in developing and motivating a team to deliver library services that enhance community outcomes
- Demonstrated experience in a range of digital technologies and the use of technology applications to support community needs and improve library service delivery
- Demonstrated skills and ability to plan and deliver programs and events
