Form of workWe are on the hunt for an experienced Duty Manager to assist the Restaurant and Bar Manager in overseeing and managing day-to-day operations at the newly renovated South Australian Hotel.
The Duty Manager will be required to work in collaboration with our Restaurant and Bar Manager and other members of the management team to establish a new, exciting food and beverage experience for the Limestone Coast.
Key Responsibilities:
To assist the Restaurant Manager in the following:
- Adhere to all hospitality regulations and guidelines, including responsible service of alcohol practices
- Engage with staff and customers in an approachable and professional manner ensuring memorable guest experiences
- Motivate the team to enhance performance and service standards whilst achieving business goals and financial budgets
- Manage and maintain elevated levels of presentation, cleanliness, and organisation across all service areas
- Put forward ideas to support hotel growth and improvement
- Deliver a hands-on approach and coordinate venue operations daily
- Supervise, oversee, and set up functions and events as required
- Actively monitor staff performance and provide feedback to the Bar and Restaurant Manager as required
- Contribute to and build an inclusive, supportive, and authentic working culture
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a fast-paced customer-facing environment
- Coaching and leadership skills
- Ability to prioritise effectively and adapt quickly to changing needs
- Ability and willingness to approach tasks with initiative and positivity
- Excellent customer service, communication, and conflict management skills
- Ability to work in a demanding environment while remaining calm and friendly
- Mindfulness and ability to manage multiple tasks effectively
- RSA and Responsible Person is required
- Gaming Licence is advantageous (but not required)
