Key Responsibilities:
As the Duty Manager / Assistant Venue Manager, you will play a crucial role in supporting the General Manager in overseeing the day-to-day operations of our hotel. Your responsibilities will vary across:
Preserving Goodwill: Assist the General Manager in managing the company's business at the hotel, with a focus on preserving, protecting, and enhancing the goodwill of the business.
Customer Satisfaction: Create a harmonious, relaxed, and enjoyable environment within the hotel for both staff and patrons, ensuring a positive customer experience.
Service Quality: Maintain a high-quality standard for food and beverage service at all outlets, with the goal of achieving a 90% average for Operation audits.
Staff Management: Create a productive, efficient, and harmonious work environment for the staff. This includes staff training, recruitment, and accountability for key performance indicators.
Entertainment: Oversee live entertainment, including Trivia and Karaoke, as well as in-house entertainment, including background music.
Financial Management: Manage the operation and balancing of cash registers, ensuring the financial integrity of the venue.
Safety and Cleanliness: Ensure the safety and cleanliness of the front-of-house staff and customer areas, creating a safe and welcoming atmosphere.
Security Operations: Manage hotel security operations and recording systems, ensuring the safety and security of staff and patrons.
Qualifications:
The most successful candidates will have:
- Minimum 2 years of previous experience in a supervisory or management position in the hospitality industry.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- A thorough understanding of food and beverage service standards.
- Knowledge of safety and security protocols.
- Proficiency in financial management and cash handling.
- A passion for creating a memorable and enjoyable experience for customers
- Responsible Service of Alcohol
- Responsible Conduct of Gaming
- Availability to work on nights, weekends and public holidays.
