Duty Manager - Banquets

About the role
A true leadership role managing a team of Food & Beverage professionals
The position involves:
Overseeing banquet operations on your shift ensuring an exceptional, modern and contemporary experience is delivered for all our guests
Ensuring all 5 star service standards are followed and improved
planning and supervising function and conference activities
observing liquor regulations (RSA)
assessing and reviewing customer satisfaction
ensuring compliance with occupational health and safety in the workplace
Set up banquet area/room, ensuring cleanliness and proper set up of furniture/equipment.
Inspect and maintain table set-ups for cleanliness, neatness and agreement with group requirements and company standards, and resolve any problems.
Ensure efficient, friendly and professional service is provided to all guests
Be an expert on the hotel, know it inside and out to ensure our guests receive a dynamic service experience
Supervise, coach & allocate team members to ensure shift requirements are met as well as identify training needs
This role has opportunity for growth. We are looking for the right candidate, who lead by example ensuring an exceptional guest experience is consistently delivered
Previous experience in a similar role is desired. Flexibility with various shifts is required
Skills and experience
For this role, your attributes will be inclusive of the following:
Efficient and knowledgeable with excellent communication skills.
Professionally presented, you will have a keen eye for detail and be able to work unsupervised.
Hold a current Victorian RSA Certificate
Have previous experience in a similar Team Leading/Supervisor role.
Ability to work a rotating roster with availability to work across the week, weekends and public holidays.
