About the Role

The Duty Manager is focused on ensuring the day-to-day operations of our venue/club are run efficiently and effectively whilst ensuring the best service for our members and guests. You'll be a passionate people leader and develop our staff, whilst maintaining excellent communication with our people and leaders. You'll be taking ownership of matters, solving problems, pre-empt needs and work efficiently within the team.
Responsibilities
- Daily Operations. Responsible for the daily operations of the venue/club including appearance, presentation, security, monetary control and customer experience. You will be key to providing exceptional service for all members and guests and exceed their expectations.
- Compliance. Uphold and satisfy compliance with required legislation, North Collective's policies and procedures, code of conduct, and practice Responsible Service of Alcohol.
- People Leadership. To lead an effective team in delivering outstanding service on a consistent basis in line with our values. Be directly responsible for performance, direction and succession planning of our people. Ensuring they are trained appropriately.
- Communication. Maintain effective communication with all key stakeholders including operations manager, floor staff, chefs and management team.
- Security. Ensure the safe, secure and accurate handling of cash across all operational areas including EFTPOS and tills.
- Workplace Health & Safety. Actively support a range of activities in accordance with Work, Health & Safety legislation obligations and in line with Norths Risk Management Program. Ensure compliance wherever necessary including all relevant legislation, regulations and codes of practice.
- SOP and Training Manuals. Create, monitor, develop and implement SOPs and Training Manuals.
The Candidate:
- A strong passion for delivering excellent customer experiences.
- Previous experience in successfully managing a hospitality operation.
- Ability to motivate, lead and develop a team.
- Highly organised with strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Problem solving, critical thinking and conflict management skills.
- Experience in working under pressure in a fast-moving environment.
- Proficiency in computer skills.
- Current RSA and RCG certifications
- Current First Aid and Advanced Resuscitation certification - or willing to obtain.
- Flexibility and availability to work a 7-day, rotating roster including weekends, nights, and public holidays - If you are a Night Owl, there is the potential for all late-night shifts.
- Relevant Diploma / Degree qualification is desirable.
