The Role: 2 weeks on 2 weeks off roster
We are seeking multiple highly skilled Electricians or Dual Trade Technicians to join our construction team for a contract within the construction, oil, and gas industry in the Cooper Basin. The successful candidate will be responsible for a wide range of tasks related to the installation of electrical and instrumentation infrastructure , construction within oil facilities and gas wells in hazardous areas. The initial scope will involve the installation of remote sensors to digitalise the management system. Ongoing works will consist of construction of well sites inclusive of beam pumps, esp wells and alike, along with ad hoc construction work relating to infrastructure expansion.
Point of hire is Brisbane or Adelaide
Responsibilities:
- Installation of electrical and instrumentation systems in facility settings.
- Installation and testing of SWA cables glands within a hazardous facility .
- Install cable tray and supports for beam pumps, free flow wells and associated equipment.
- Completion of handover documentation including FIC's, HA Inspections and RLMU Drawings
- Carry out construction works for beam pumps, free flow wells and associated equipment
- Responsible for daily reporting of tasks completed with reporting of all delays and variations
- Troubleshoot and diagnose issues related to electrical and instrumentation equipment.
- Maintain detailed records of daily works reporting any delays
- Comply with safety protocols and industry standards, especially in hazardous areas.
- Participate in safety and environmental compliance efforts.
Qualifications:
- Full and unrestricted SA (South Australia) electrical license.
- Swagelok Ticket advantageous
- EEHA (Electrical Equipment in Hazardous Areas) certification or qualification (Training can be offered to certain candidates)
- Proven experience as an E&I Technician.
- Certificate III in Instrumentation advantageous
- In-depth knowledge of current Australian Standards and Wiring Rules for installing electrical infrastructure with hazardous and non hazardous areas.
- Strong problem-solving skills and hands-on expertise in working in remote areas.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Willingness to work in a dynamic and safety-focused environment.
- 4wd ticket is advantageous.
