• Set up, calibrate and operate laboratory equipment and instruments.
• Collect and prepare samples for analysis and tasting.
• Conduct accurate and timely analytical testing of wine, juice and grape maturity samples.
• Ensure accurate recording, communication and verification of results.
• Maintain the laboratory, ordering consumables, reagents and equipment as needed for analytical purposes.
• Organise both scheduled and reactive servicing of laboratory equipment.
• Create and maintain routine analysis schedule.
• Maintain QA / post bottling register and analysis.
• Maintain Interwinery Group subscription and benchmarking.
• Maintain QA / HACCP approval system for incoming wine additives.
• Proactively seek and recommend improvement of operating systems and procedures.
• Enter laboratory data and winery records into Vintrace.
• Participate in relevant aspects of winery HACCP, Organic and SWA programs.

• Has strong attention to detail, confidence in actioning non-conformances and the initiative to trouble shoot issues as they arise.
• Is confident to work both alone and collaboratively within our team.
• Familiarity with Vintrace, QA and HACCP systems will be advantageous.
Required experience and Licences
• Prior experience in a wine laboratory environment in vintage and non-vintage settings.
• Familiarity with winery production systems and procedures.
• Own transport and current drivers’ license.
