Job description

Are you a passionate, innovative, high-level Executive Assistant looking for a chance to work with an organisation that is truly changing lives?

  • Hit the ground running in a fast-paced, busy role, supporting our Founder/ Managing Director
  • Contribute to the overall success of the charity through the provision of excellent administrative support and task management
  • Be part of a supportive, close-knit team on the north side of Brisbane

Share the Dignity is passionate about our work helping women, girls and those who have a period, who are in need and eliminating period poverty in Australia. As a relatively young charity (9 years old), there are still so many ways to grow and improve what we do – and we are looking for people who would relish the challenge of being a part of this phase.

We need someone who is equally passionate about supporting an incredibly busy executive, has the experience and skills to run alongside her and help make her vision a reality.

This full-time role is busy, but also exciting and challenging. Supporting the Founder/Managing Director, no two days will be the same. One day may involve coordinating complicated and extensive travel, the next could be prepping for board meetings and collating papers.  You will also be willing to roll up your sleeves to assist with tasks like helping to pack bags to send to women in need in remote locations across Australia. Your ability to be across multiple tasks at all times, whilst also able to juggle competing priorities will make you stand out from the pack.

Our Founder is passionate, driven, and never sits still for long. She’s a big picture person and needs someone who can manage the details. She needs a unicorn EA – someone who can listen, interpret and action her ideas. A sounding board for all of her thoughts, your relationship with the Founder will be based on trust, honesty and a good amount of fun. This role will be responsible for seeing those thoughts turned into reality – working with team members, volunteers, ambassadors and corporate partners to make it happen.

A willingness to get involved and being proactive to find the best ways to achieve the end result will see you go far. Open communication and flexibility are key to this role.

To be successful in this role, we need you to have:

  • The ability to coordinate complex calendars, and the confidence to manage a busy email account
  • Minimum typing speed of 60 words per minute
  • Excellent spelling and grammar
  • Advanced Microsoft Office (Work, Outlook, PowerPoint). Experience with SharePoint is desirable
  • Demonstrated strong EA or PA experience, working for a corporate executive or business leader
  • Certificate IV in Business Admin, or similar is desirable

To stand out from the crowd, you should:

  • Tailor communication both in writing and in person to suit the audience with the ability to clearly explain concepts
  • Take responsibility for delivering outcomes within prescribed timeframes
  • Respond proactively to changing circumstances and adjust plans and priorities accordingly
  • Research and analyse information to provide accurate evidence-based advice
  • Understand and apply high standards of accountability to own work
  • Demonstrate a sound understanding of technology and possess the ability to assess the most appropriate technology for assigned tasks
  • Recognise and be responsive to different experiences, perspectives, values and beliefs
  • Understand own skills and ability and identify for growth and development to optimise performance
  • Seek feedback and reflect in order to improve performance

This role is an integral part of our organisation, so we need you to bring exceptional organisational skills, flexibility and a great eye for detail along with your willingness to jump in and make magic happen.
