Job description

MAKE IT MEMORABLE

At Sydney Airport, the future of air travel is shaped by you.

As a team, we connect the world. More than just a hub of activity and boundless energy, we’re creating a destination of amazing experiences. Like seeing wonderful moments unfold in front of you, knowing “I made that possible!”.

Dynamic. Fast-paced. We thrive in a place where fresh challenges land daily. Backed by positive and supportive team players and inspiring leaders, we adapt to change. Driven to grow. Owning every action. To do things better.

As smart, problem-solvers, we are always learning and growing. And that’s easier to do alongside passionate experts, as we collaborate across teams readily sharing our knowledge.

Each day is a new journey, as we bring an exciting vision to life. With significant capital investment in new, improved infrastructure, there’s never been a better time to expand your potential at Sydney Airport. The range of responsibilities and diverse pathways you can take on with us, are surprising.

We are SYD. United in the pride that comes with welcoming the world at Australia’s premier gateway.

About the team and the role

The Human Resources (HR) team plays an integral role in building our organisational culture, ensuring we are focused on being a trusted partner to the SYD business and providing seamless, value add support. Reporting directly to the Chief People Officer (CPO), this role is an excellent opportunity for anyone looking to further their career in the HR field. With a primary focus on Learning & Development (L&D) coordination, you'll serve as the HR brand ambassador, supporting the L&D Manager in organizing training programs and events, along with handling associated administrative tasks and responding to inquiries via the Learning inbox.

In this role, you'll be responsible for managing the CPO's schedule and providing essential administrative support. Your focus will be on ensuring tasks are efficiently organised and prioritised. Operating with open communication and upholding confidentiality, you'll ensure that plans are executed promptly and followed up on behalf of the team and the CPO.

It is also important to note how integral this role is to the wider HR team. The EA/L&D Coordinator acts as the team glue, championing the HR team culture, enabling collaboration by coordinating team events and forums.

About you

We are looking for someone who can handle multiple tasks with ease. You should be approachable, friendly, eager to learn, and ready to tackle any challenge with a positive attitude. As a key player in our People team, you'll embody SYD's values and promote a positive team culture. Excellent communication skills are a must, along with a collaborative mindset to build strong relationships.

You thrive in fast-paced environments and are adaptable to change. Whether working independently or as part of a team, you're willing to do whatever it takes to ensure a smooth experience for our customers. You're also comfortable juggling various tasks and taking ownership to resolve issues when they arise.

In addition, you'll represent our brand as a professional and provide top-notch support in the learning environment. Confidentiality is crucial in HR, and you'll set an example by maintaining discretion in all your interactions.
