The Role

We are searching for a passionate and driven Early Careers + Talent Acquisition Advisor to join our People + Culture team in Brisbane.

In this pivotal role, you'll play a key role in shaping the future of W+K's legal talent pipeline by attracting, recruiting, and onboarding top early career talent nationally.  While your primary focus will be the successful delivery of our Early Careers program, you'll also have the opportunity to collaborate with the Talent Acquisition team on attracting high-calibre lateral hires. 

Shape the Future of Early Careers

  • Collaborate with key stakeholders to develop and implement our "Pathways" program strategy, aligning it with W+K's overall Talent Acquisition strategy.
  • Build strong relationships with careers advisors and student societies at target universities, positioning W+K as a top employer through informative presentations, interactive workshops, and dynamic campus events.
  • Manage all aspects of the Pathways programme, from crafting application processes and assessments to scheduling campus visits, coordinating presentations, and facilitating networking events (travel required).
  • Ensure a seamless onboarding experience for accepted students, equipping them with the resources, mentorship, and support they need to flourish at W+K.
  • Track key programme metrics like applications, attendance rates, and offer acceptance rates. Leverage data insights to continuously improve Pathways and optimise its effectiveness in attracting and nurturing top early career talent.
  • Partner with the Talent Acquisition team as required to recruit lateral hires within the firm end to end. (Paralegals, Graduates and shared services). 
  • Partner with hiring managers to understand their specific needs and conduct/coordinate candidate interviews.
The Ideal Candidate:
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in Talent Acquisition or Agency recruitment.  Working with professional services or legal is a big plus.
  • Proven experience managing Early Careers programs or graduate recruitment initiatives would be advantageous. 
  • Understanding of the legal industry and its talent needs.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills.
  • Strong analytical skills and data-driven approach.
  • Ability to travel nationally for campus events.
  • Passion for Talent Acquisition and building a diverse and inclusive workforce.
