The role:
As a Technical Sales Consultant at Aspect Furniture, you will play a pivotal role in developing and securing new business opportunities with architects, interior designers, commercial developers, and major contractors.
Key responsibilities:
- Respond to sales enquires, tenders and proposals with new and existing customers
- Create detailed sales presentations that display product solutions that match customer needs
- Collaborate with designers, estimators and commercial teams to develop quotes and commercial contracts
- Provide technical product information to clients and educated key decision-makers on the features and benefits of the product
- Work closely with the Business Development Manager to formulate sales strategies to create and develop new business opportunities within new and existing accounts
- Develop strong professional relationships with key decision-makers in the commercial fit-out and interior design space
- Develop, plan and execute sales and marketing strategies that generate new business opportunities
- Conduct market research to identify trends, competitor activities, and potential growth areas
- Maintain the CRM system and review customer data regularly to identify new opportunities
- Attend industry events and promote company brand and product solutions
- Accurately forecast monthly, quarterly and annual revenue and sales opportunities
- Work closely with the business development manager to negotiate and close deals to achieve sales targets and business objectives
- Work with the sales and marketing teams and wider business divisions to drive initiatives that enhance business opportunities and market presence
- Create strong long-term partnerships with clients by providing exceptional support and service
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Technical Sales Consultant, preferably selling specified or technical products or furniture to architects, interior designers, commercial developers, and major contractors.
- Exceptional time management and organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple opportunities simultaneously
- A strategic mindset with the ability to balance short-term needs with long-term vision
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present information in a clear and concise manner
- Ability to negotiate commercial contracts
- Customer-focused mindset with the ability to identify their current and future needs
