Early Childhood Centre Director And Nominated Supervisor

We have an exciting opening for an experienced Director to lead our incredible 59 place centre at Kookaburra Kindergarten Chatswood!

A suitable candidate will have at least 3 years prior experience as a Director and Nominated Supervisor and hold a relevant Bachelor or Diploma qualification. Depending on the applicant's experience, this role may also encompass the duties of Educational Leader.

Key skills and abilities will include:

• Genuine love and passion for children and Early Childhood education 
• Excellent English written & verbal communication skills
• An ability to develop positive working relationships with the team, families, children and community
• Extensive understanding of Early Childhood education pedagogy, theory and philosophy
• Comprehensive knowledge of EYLF, NQF, National Law and Regulations, and ability to ensure that compliance, policies and procedures are implemented
• Ability to create and maintain processes to ensure the smooth running of the centre, and to inspire and lead a team of professionals

Kookaburra Kindergarten Chatswood is a single service that is owned and operated by an Early Childhood Teacher. Our doors first opened 33 years ago, and we have maintained a reputation for providing an exceptional play-based educational program across our four classrooms.

We have a wonderful community environment, our families get involved and we host loads of events, extra curricular programs, and excursions.

The successful applicant will require:

• ACECQA recognised Diploma or Bachelor of Early Childhood Education
• At least 3 years experience as an ECEC Director
• Two professional referees (industry specific)
• Legal ability to live and work in Australia
• Child Protection Training and sound understanding of Child Safe Standards
• Working with Children Check
• First Aid, CPR, Asthma, Anaphylaxis certificate
