Director/Centre Manager

Silverlea Early Childhood Services is currently recruiting for a suitably qualified and experienced Director/Centre Manager to commence a lead role within the Long Day Care and Early Intervention Services on a fulltime basis. This role is a fantastic opportunity to be the leader within a dedicated team and continue to strive for growth and improvements within our organisation. 

About You 

You will have the ability to lead, motivate and inspire a team of early childhood educators along with creating and maintaining meaningful relationships with families and the surrounding community. You will manage the day-to-day operations of the Centre such as admin, regulatory compliance, health & safety, and staff development in line with service policies and procedures, meeting compliance and financial targets. You will have the opportunity to collaborate and support the ongoing development of each team member, maintain effective communication with families, and lead by example in maintaining a positive working environment.  

• Suitable experience in a similar role within a child-care setting
• Hold or have the ability to obtain an ACECQA approved Bachelor’s degree in Education (Early Childhood Teaching) or Diploma Qualification in Children’s Services
•  Meet requirements to be recognised as the Nominated Supervisor of the service
• Understanding of NDIS practice standards, processes, and requirements
•  Being adaptable, flexible, resilient and able to respond positively to change with excellent communication skills
• Previous leadership within an Early Childhood service (working with children 0-5 years)
• Understanding of the National Quality Framework, Education and Care National Law and Regulations along with the Nationally Approved Early Years Learning Framework
• A current Working with Children Check
• A valid NSW Police Check
• Current 004 or 012 First Aid Certificate, or willingness to obtain as part of your employment 
•  Hands on experience in running of a small business will be highly regarded

Since its inception in the 1950's Silverlea has been part of the fabric of Broken Hill NSW, offering early intervention services to children with disabilities and developmental delays. In 2020 Silverlea opened a 22 place long day-care centre, welcome to all children, to supplement this service. Silverlea is in an exciting period of growth and is looking for a Centre Manager with the right attitude, who is passionate about the role and strives for continuous improvement in all aspects of their work.
