Your new role
The role of a Early Childhood Educator FSG involves working within a vibrant and energetic team to plan and facilitate the FSG program. The role is responsible for the design and facilitation of early childhood programs and activities to support children's wellbeing, learning and development within the teams early intervention framework, whilst monitoring the implementation of relevant policies and procedures relating to duty of care. The Early Childhood Educator FSG role includes, but is not limited to:
- Ensuring high quality services are delivered to clients and their families
- Designing and implementing educational programs and activities that are aligned with individual developmental needs
- Working with Allied Health staff to support the delivery of therapeutic interventions
- Managing the running of the daily classroom schedule
- Accurate collection and storage of data
- Implementing and maintaining relevant systems and processes to support child safety and wellbeing in line with organisational policy and procedure relating to duty of care
What you'll need to succeed
- Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care
- Knowledge of human rights-based approaches in the disability sector
- Knowledge of early childhood development to design and facilitate experiences to support children's play and learning
- Experience working with children with a diagnosis of Autism Spectrum Disorder
- Experience leading a classroom
- Demonstrated experience in providing care for preschool aged children
- Satisfactory DHS Working with Children Check, NDIS Worker Screening and National Police Check
