Role Description:
As a Lead Educator, your valued input will help guide our team and enrich our classroom, nurturing the hearts and minds of our young learners. Your warmth and wisdom are key in inspiring growth amongst co-workers, offering support and feedback with kindness and inspiring them towards excellence in teaching. Engaging warmly with parents, you'll foster a community of trust and collaboration.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Committed Guide: Leading our holistic-based program, fostering independence, role modeling respect, encouraging problem-solving, and promoting empathy to help maintain a sense of genuine community and teach valuable life skills.
- Guardian of Hearts: Creating a safe and nurturing environment, fostering physical and emotional well-being through gentle guidance.
- Nature Explorer: Leading our curious learners on nature expeditions within The Children’s Garden, you will help develop a deep appreciation for the natural world and inspire a love for environmental stewardship.
- Creative Muse: Nurturing artistic expression and cultural learning through hands-on activities, stories, music and movement you will ignite a spark of creativity within each child, allowing their unique talents to shine.

- Creativity: An ability to plan and foster a wide and exciting variety of child-led activities, encouraging children to express themselves freely and explore their curiosities.
- Empathy: The capacity to embrace each child's unique qualities and navigate diverse temperaments with patience, understanding, and kindness, maintaining our nurturing and inclusive environment.
- Organisation Skills: The desire to maintain a beautiful, orderly environment where everything has a place and to adhere to the policies and procedures that help keep our Children’s House running safely, happily and harmoniously.
- Collaborative Spirit: A willingness to work alongside our team of passionate educators, parents and guardians, fostering open communication and creating a supportive learning community.
Essentials:
- Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care (or working towards)
- Previous experience working with children in a childcare centre, preschool, or similar setting
- Familiarity with the Early Years Learning Framework and the National Quality Framework
- Current First Aid, CPR and Anaphylaxis training (or willing to obtain)
- Current valid Blue Card
- Interest in holistic education
