Role: Early Childhood Educators (various positions) - Kingscote, Parndana and Penneshaw

Classification: Diploma or 'working towards' Diploma in Children's Services Qualification or Certificate 111 in Early Childhood Education and Care

Location: Kangaroo Island, SA

Centre:  KINGSCOTE, PARNDANA & PENNESHAW

Employment Type: Casual with potential of part time

We have multiple positions available and are looking for passionate, highly skilled and experienced Diploma and 'working towards' Diploma Educators, or willing to upskill to a Diploma to join our team. We are also seeking Certificate III qualified Educators or those willing to gain this qualification.

About your new role (various positions)

Your passion and enthusiasm will see you effectively engage with children, families, educators, and the wider community.

• You will have or gain a sound knowledge of the EYLF and NQS.
• You will develop or grow your experience in an Early Childhood setting.
• You will work at all times in compliance with government regulations and centre policies & procedures to meet our high-quality standards.
• You will network with relevant stakeholders in the local community.
• You will have confidence in building strong relationships and partnerships with children and families.
• You will have the ability to contribute to the documentation of the children's skills and interests, and include a clear cycle of reflective practice.

About you

• Diploma or working towards Diploma qualification in Children’s Services approved by ACECQA.
• Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care or equivalent  
• Willing to undertake the Diploma or Certificate III qualification.
• Current approved first aid, anaphylaxis and asthma qualifications.
• Current Employment Working with Children Check. 
• Current Responding to Risks of Harm, Abuse and Neglect - Education and Care certification.

Kangaroo Island Children's Services Child Care Inc. is a not for profit community-based child care organisation, with three sites operating across Kangaroo Island.  Our services are Reggio Emilia inspired and view all children as capable and competent learners from birth. We value the opportunity to provide children with a respectful, engaging and secure environment to learn and grow.

Our Educators use Circle of Security to underpin their daily practice with children and families. 

We use the inquiry approach to learn alongside children and value their ideas, opinions and thoughts.  Our sites maintain respectful, trusting and secure relationship with their families and wider community.
