We're seeking an experienced professional with extensive experience in supporting clients ranging from frontline educators through to Centre Directors, Area Managers, Committee Members, to a broad range of corporates / organisations.

You will play an integral part of our team providing specialist consultancy support, facilitating professional development, offering formalised mentoring, and guiding organisations to successfully navigate the establishment or operation of services of all types.

Child Australia is a renowned Early Childhood education and care organization that operates in Western Australia and the Northern Territory. We work collaboratively with children, their families, parents, Early Childhood professionals, and the local community to enhance and expand the quality of education and care provided during the crucial early years of a child's life. With our commitment to capacity building in the early to middle Childhood Sector, we offer professional development opportunities, information, online training, and an extensive array of professional resources.

Key role responsibilities include:

  • Working alongside services to develop and support their professional learning needs
  • Develop proposals within a project management approach
  • Active participation in the planning and delivery of scheduled events, conferences, forums, workshops, blogs, social media engagement, and sector articles
  • Proactively develop and support a pipeline of engaged and potential clients
  • Provide training and guidance on effective and sustainable Early Childhood Governance for standalone and not-for-profit (NFP) services
  • Collaborate with Approved Providers and Service Leaders to develop and implement a comprehensive service-wide training plan, including individual educator mentoring plans
  • Mentoring and support to a range of stakeholders including Service Leaders, Approved Providers, Committees
  • Supporting corporate organisations seeking expertise in navigating the landscape of the ECEC sector
  • Maintain currency in knowledge and actively participate in development of new branded products and contextualisation of training learning resources, content, resources, tools and relevant implementation strategy.
  • Critically reflect on learning packages and delivery strategies to strive for continuous improvement
  • Ensure detailed knowledge of the National Quality Framework, National Quality Standards, and approved learning frameworks.
  • Undertake appropriate professional learning to support professional development and currency of contemporary trends in the Education and Care sector.

To thrive in this position, you should possess the following qualifications and attributes as a Sector Specialist:

  • Qualifications that demonstrate proficiency in the ECEC sector
  • Extensive leadership, coaching and mentoring experience
  • Evidence of a deep understanding of the ECEC sector landscape
  • Proven ability to build and maintain professional networks and demonstrate an entrepreneurial mindset.
  • Proficiency in facilitating skills transfer to adults through various mediums, including face to face and online delivery
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, and the ability to establish effective interpersonal connections.
  • Strong IT literacy, with proficiency in Word, Excel, and Outlook. Use of SharePoint and Microsoft Teams would be advantageous.
  • Demonstrated capability to build rapport and establish productive relationships with a diverse range of clients and stakeholders

Role conditions:

  • Valid Working With Children Check card
  • Current driver's licence and a reliable vehicle
  • Ability to travel regularly both inter and intra state
  • Working hours are flexible alongside client requirements, including evenings and weekends
