Our client is a leading automotive cooperative and is looking for a Systems Engineer for a 12-month fixed-term position.Responsibilities:
- Manage and configure VMware server and VDI virtualized environments (vCenter, ESXi, Horizon) for optimal performance.
- Deploy, configure, and maintain Microsoft Operating Systems and services including Server (2016, 2019, 2022), SQL (2016, 2017, 2019), and Active Directory (DS, DNS, DHCP).
- Respond to alerts and incidents from monitoring and cybersecurity systems (PRTG, Splunk, LogInsight, CheckPoint, Azure).
- Provide mentorship and guidance to the Service Desk team, assisting in the training of new technologies and troubleshooting techniques.
- Offer 1st level support coverage for the IT Service Desk as needed.
- Assist in training Service Desk analysts on new technologies and troubleshooting techniques.
- Experience in managing Microsoft environments including Active Directory (DS, DNS, DHCP), Office 365, and Azure AD.
- Providing Level 2/3 technical assistance to end-users by resolving escalated issues related to hardware, software, and applications.
- Contribute to the development of the internal knowledge base, empowering Service Desk agents to handle common issues.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiency enhancements within the IT support workflow.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologies to provide innovative solutions.
- Sound communication skills, with the ability to effectively manage face-to-face and remote stakeholders.
