The Early Childhood Teacher provides leadership in delivering high quality, inclusive programs within the Centre. You will have expert knowledge of the Early Learning Years Framework (EYLF), Victorian Early Years Framework (VEYLF), as well as ensuring the Centre meets or exceeds the National Quality Standards. You will contribute to the identity of the Centre, raising the quality of education program and practice. Working closely with the Centre Manager, Assistant Centre Manager and Educational Leader, you will establish authentic and positive relationships with children and families to ensure positive outcomes for all children. The role works to ensure a holistic approach is taken to ensure the underlying principles of the Centre are met.
- Creating a safe, supportive, stimulating, and educational environment for Children to learn and thrive.
- Assisting with the planning, implementation, and evaluation of programs throughout the Centre.
- Developing working relationships with colleagues to ensure effective operation of the Service.
- Maintaining compliance with all reporting requirements, regulations, and legislation.
- Degree in Early Childhood from recognised University.
- First Aid Certificate
- Working with Children Check/VIT
- Anaphylaxis and Emergency Asthma Management training
Desirable
- A passion for early years education, commitment to ongoing education and training to ensure adoption of best practice and emerging education programs.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Willing to work with varied learning styles to ensure all students achieve learning objectives.
- Current knowledge of children’s developmental stages.
- Current knowledge of health, hygiene and nutrition needs of children.
- Detailed understanding and application of Education and Care Services National Regulations.
- A track record in building relationships with a wide range of stakeholders.
- Committed to acting as an advocate for children, educators and families.
- Attention to detail and a passion for excellence.
- A ‘can do’ attitude, who is forward thinking and results oriented.
- Is a team player, enjoys working with a vibrant and passionate team of professionals, with a passion for what you do!
