Tasks & Responsibilities
- Developing and implementing the educational programs and achieving quality learning outcomes
- Design and follow a full schedule of activities and routines
- Creating and maintaining an inclusive, fun, safe, healthy, productive and effective learning environment
- Creating and maintaining excellent relationships with children, families, carers and other team members
- Keep records of children’s progress, routines and interests
- Ensuring compliance with routines, policies, processes and practices
- Delivering an innovative play-based curriculum, which includes emergent curriculum, intentional teaching, child lead continuous pedagogy and inquiry projects
- Understand and utilise distributive and collaborative leadership styles
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor of Early Childhood Teaching (or equivalent as approved by ACECQA).
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
- Current Working with Children check, First-Aid Certificate, Asthma and Anaphylaxis training
- Sound understanding on the NQF including the VEYLDF and Child Safe Standards
- Experience working with children with a wide range of diverse additional needs.
- Valid Victorian Institute of Teaching Registration and a Police Check are mandatory.
