AddressAbout the role Ventia are seeking an Alliance Manager to lead our Eastlink alliance with ConnectEast, which has been a longstanding relationship since 2008 that delivers operations and maintenance for the 40km motorway.
The Alliance Manager is responsible for delivering the technical, commercial and operational performance, compliance and continuity of the Alliance and providing leadership and support to the team.
Being the key client contact accountable for overall Alliance performance, the Alliance Manager will lead in developing and promoting a positive and strong generative safety culture, championing a culture of continuous improvement and innovation to deliver service efficiencies and value for money solutions and flexibility in meeting the Alliance Charter.
Duties:
- Manage, control, direct and coordinate the delivery of Alliance activities including quality, risk, procurement, financial, cost control, scheduling and estimating, management processes and procedures and the timely preparation and issue of monthly performance and progress reports to management and the Client.
- Technical and operational compliance to the concession Deed O&M requirements, ensuring that the related outcomes are in accordance with standards, codes and system requirements defined by the Client, Statutory Authorities and the Alliance partners.
- Ensure the team are aligned to achieving the KRA’s and KPI’s for the contract performance.
- Ensure the budgeted contract program turnover and margin are met or surpassed in line with overall Alliance commercial objectives.
- Involve the supply chain at all stages of project development to enhance delivery performance and always promote an integrated team.
- Ensure safety needs of Eastlink, its users and our workers are considered at all stages of planning and service delivery.
- Support Communications and Community Relations team and contract management team with strategic planning and community and stakeholder engagement and liaison.
- Consider and mitigate risk at all stages of maintenance and operations delivery.
- Promote the customer as being at the centre of everything we do in our service delivery.
- Proactively support the ALT, Commercial Manager with business opportunities and growth of the Alliance.
About You
- Tertiary qualifications in Commercial, Commerce, Engineering or similar discipline or the equivalent in industry based experience.
- Relevant Health and Safety experience in line with requirements for the position.
- Minimum 10 years industry experience in the roads or infrastructure maintenance industry.
- Strong Commercial, risk and cost acumen.
- High degree of knowledge and experience in asset management.
- Leadership experience and a positive track record in previous collaborative contract arrangements.
- Mentor for team building, staff development and empowerment and driving better ways of working.
- Leader in Safety and Environmental approach and delivering excellence.
- Legal and commercial understanding to relevant contracts.
- Leadership in driving the sustainability agenda for the Alliance.
- General Construction Induction Card (White Card).
