Milligan House Child Care Centre is currently seeking an Early Childhood Teacher (ECT) to join our team.

Milligan House Child Care Centre is a Not-for-Profit Community Based Long Day Care Centre that has been providing high quality care in Bunbury for 38 years. Our centre is a 49-place centre that caters for children 0-6years. Milligan House Child Care Centre is passionate about providing our community with an exceptional service that not only provides excellent educational programs but unites with families in caring for their children.
What We Are Looking For:
As an Early Childhood Teacher, you will inspire a love of learning in children and foster their development through purposeful intentional teaching practices that are delivered with creativity and energy. You will build meaningful relationships with families, so each child has a strong sense of belonging here at our centre.
You will be required to mentor and guide the centre leadership team to develop, review and implement high-quality early learning programs, to ensure we as a whole are achieving optimal outcomes for children.
Responsibilities:
- Planning and implementing high-quality, developmentally appropriate programs for children
- Providing leadership and guidance to other educators in the centre
- Building positive relationships with children, families, and colleagues
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records of children’s development and progress
- Ensuring the health, safety, and wellbeing of all children in your care
Key Requirements and Qualifications required:
- An approved Early Childhood Teacher qualification or equivalent.
- Registration with the WA Teaching Board.
- A strong understanding of the EYLF and NQS
- Full-time position (ECT must work a minimum of 6 hours every day, as per the Education and Care Services National Regulations and ACECQA requirements)
All Candidates must provide:
- Proof of assessment by ACECQA for all overseas qualifications.
- Current WA Working with Children Check.
- Current First Aid Certificate, Anaphylaxis and Asthma Management Certificate or willingness to obtain.
- Medically fit to work within a childcare environment.
- Demonstrate a commitment to excellence and professional quality care.
- A professional work ethic and communication skills with the ability to be proactive and take initiative.
