A bit about the role
We are looking for a dynamic, strategic minded project manager to be a driving force, leading a range of high-level projects and initiatives for the Early Education and Care services (EECS).
As the Early Years Project and Operations Lead you will strategically lead and oversee the delivery of priority projects and strategic initiatives for the EECS unit, with a focus on ensuring our units operational compliance to child safety and risk. You will lead our unit’s response to child safety incidents and investigations, monitor our performance against statutory requirements and best practice and you will implement a comprehensive Child Safe Training program for our staff.
Your knowledge and experience of Child Safety Standards, Information Sharing Schemes and Multi Agency Risk Assessment and Management will see you excel in developing strategic policies, projects, and evaluations that ensure the operational compliance of Wyndham’s Early Years services.
What you will deliver
- Lead and implement a comprehensive Child Safe training program including facilitation of educator training and coaching on the Child Safe Standards, the Child Information Sharing Scheme and the Multi Agency Risk Assessment (MARAM).
- Lead the unit’s response to child safety incidents and investigations including liaising and relationship building with key internal and external stakeholders, ensuring the quality and timeliness of written reports and documents.
- Monitor the unit’s performance against statutory requirements and best practices focused on improving outcomes for children, ensuring that it demonstrates compliance with baseline EYM service delivery obligations.
- The development and implementation of policies, procedures and systems to manage risk and compliance in the Early Education and Care Services unit and ensure alignment with organisational strategic priorities and standards.
What you will bring
- Tertiary qualification in Education, Health, Risk and/or Compliance with several years of subsequent experience.
- Extensive knowledge and experience of Child Safety Standards, Information Sharing Schemes and Multi Agency Risk Assessment and Management desirable.
- Ability to build relationships and gain cooperation from a diverse range internal and external stakeholders
- Demonstrated project management experience including project planning and developing project briefs, managing project teams, and implementing and monitoring task schedules.
- A current Working with Children Check
