Job description

Working with the Specialists and Regional Programs and based in Gippsland, Latrobe Regional Health (LRH) are looking for a Senior Clinician with experience working with people who have an Eating Disorder, to join our Specialist and Regional program, Eating Disorder Service on a part time or full time, ongoing basis.
The Specialist and Regional Programs teams are made up of dedicated, Senior Clinicians who provide specialist advice and support across the following programs:

  • Lived and living experience
  • HOPE
  • FaPMI
  • Forensics
  • MHaRS
  • Psychological Therapies
  • Mental Health Promotion
  • Eating Disorders
  • AOD
The Senior Clinician supports the multidisciplinary team by providing leadership regarding the assessment and treatment of people experiencing an Eating Disorder at LRH.

We are looking for candidates with:
  • Registered Nurse with a post graduate diploma in mental health/psychiatric nursing OR
  • Degree or Diploma of a recognised school of Occupational Therapy, current AHPRA registration and eligible to be a member of Occupational Therapy Australia OR
  • Current APHRA registration as a psychologist with Appropriate Post Graduate Qualification in Clinical Psychology OR
  • Degree in Social Work eligibility or other qualification acceptable for membership to AASW
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience post completion of mental health specialist training
  • Demonstrated extensive knowledge, experience and practice working in Eating Disorders
  • Current driver’s license
  • Demonstrated knowledge of evidence-based Therapies for Eating Disorders
  • Sound knowledge of the Mental Health & Wellbeing Act 2023 and other relevant legislation
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with internal and external services to a high level
  • Working knowledge of NSQHS and National Standards for Mental Health Services
  • Experience in mental health service provision
  • Experience delivering evidence-based psychological treatment for Eating Disorders using specialist training in Family Based Treatment, Cognitive Behaviour Therapy-Enhanced or other appropriate treatments
