The Fleet Procurement Officer is responsible for the purchase and disposal of Council's fleet assets, as well as the contract management of goods and services to the Fleet Services branch. You will play an integral part in maintaining an up-to-date fleet, including light vehicle, plant and equipment, to ensure Council can deliver to the community. You will also have the opportunity to work collaboratively with others across multiple divisions of Council.You’ll make an impact by:
- Establishing light vehicle, plant and equipment replacement programs
- Arranging light vehicle, plant and equipment deliveries and disposals
- Preparing and developing procurement and disposal documentation, reports and procedures
- Undertaking operator assessments in plant and vehicle operations
- Developing specification for Fleet related contracts
- Developing procurement documentation and procedures
- Cert IV in a relevant discipline; or relevant qualifications with experience
- Experience in the acquisition and disposal of diverse fleet
- Contract management experience
- Demonstrates strong customer service skills
- Fleet experience including developing technical specifications
- Experience with Ausfleet Fleet Management software
- Experience in financial management
- IPWEA Fleet Management Certificate
