(GLaWAC) represents the Traditional Owners of Gippsland, the Gunaikurnai people. The role of GLaWAC is to meet the aspirations of the Whole of Country Plan and to support members through Native Title related matters.
Come and join our fantastic team!The Economic Development Support Officer will work on a range of GLaWAC economic and business development initiatives under the direction of the Economic Development Manager. The Support Officer provides community outreach to facilitate exposure to GLaWAC’s Economic Development team, connecting community and their aspirations to the services the team provides.
The Economic Development Support Officer will provide exceptional customer service and administrative support to the Economic Development Team and build on stakeholders relationships within our internal GLaWAC team and our external stakeholders.
Essential Experience includes:
- Proven experience in Economic Development, business attraction, and retention
- Strong understanding of Economic Development principles, incentives, and financing mechanisms
- Understands business and Economic Development in the Aboriginal community context
- Experience in supporting and developing business initiatives
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders.
- Proficiency in data analysis and reporting
- Strong project management and problem solving skills
