Heavy Equipment Operator - Kwinana

About the role:To satisfy our customers ongoing requirements by performing a variety of tasks including the effective and efficient acceptance, securing and delivery of their freight whilst working and contributing to a quality high performing team.We are looking to employ safety focused Heavy Equipment Operators on a permanent arrangement.

• Safe Operation of forklifts, front-end loaders, and reach stackers - loading of bulk material and unloading containerised product.
• Load and unload freight in a safe, timely and cost-effective manner.
• Operate all vehicles and equipment in line with company policy and procedures.
• Ensure compliance with all safety, fatigue and Heavy Equipment operating guidelines.
• Provide exceptional customer service and maintain a high degree of professionalism.
• Perform general terminal duties as directed including completing basic data entry work in line with your role along with lower-level maintenance of equipment.
• Perform. plant and equipment inspection/prestart as per Aurizon policy.
• Handle bulk and pelletized dangerous goods.
• Utilise all available competencies and licences and be willing to obtain any necessary licences and tickets for safe and continued operation.

About you:To be successful in this role, you will possess the following:

• High risk heavy forklift ticket.
• HR/MC license.
• CN / Reach stacker ticket.
• Front end loader ticket.
• IMDG card.
• Knowledge of rules and regulations of Terminals, workplace health and safety, and dangerous goods.
• Substantial skill in carrying out routine tasks associated with terminal operations.
• Experience in heavy operations environment will be highly regarded.
• Basic computer skills and experience with Microsoft Office suite.
• Sound skill in the movement of goods and bulk materials.
• High level of interpersonal skills to grow effective internal/external relationships.
