The Role
As an Education Assistant, you will work in consultation with the Principal and Teachers to design and implement activities that support the students at Communicare Academy to engage with learning and social activities.
This position will be offered on a Permanent Full-time basis, working 76 hours per fortnight. Based in Kenwick and various outreach locations as required. Salary dependent on experience.

Since 2014, Communicare Academy has been providing a schooling option for students who need a flexible, adaptive learning environment. With small class sizes, education support staff, social-emotional development programs, personalised and flexible timetable options, excursions, camps, and wraparound support, the school is designed to help meet a diverse range of students’ needs.

Selection Criteria
- Minimum of Certificate III in Education Support or extensive relevant experience
- Ability to develop, implement and report on individual learning programs
- Working knowledge of disabilities, including, but not limited to, autism, dyslexia, ADHD, ODD
- Ability to work within a high functioning, highly skilled team
- Experience in engaging with, motivating and inspiring at risk, disengaged young people
- High level computer skills
- Satisfactory Police clearance (not older than 6 months from the issue date)
- Unrestricted drivers’ licence
- Working With Children Check
