Job description
The Nurse Practitioner (NP) will be a crucial member of our healthcare team, endorsed by the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia and practicing with a legislatively protected title. With advanced qualifications and extensive clinical experience, the NP provides expert, patient-centred care while contributing to research, education and clinical leadership. Operating autonomously yet collaboratively, the NP demonstrates accountability in their practice and significantly impacts patient outcomes.
Within the Agency Framework, and in accordance with Agency policies and procedures, the Nurse Practitioner (NP) is responsible, within the defined scope of practice, for high level clinical leadership in the development, provision and evaluation of community and acute, sub-Acute and non-acute patient care at New Norfolk District Hospital (NNDH) that ensures optimal patient/client/family and Community outcomes.
The NP draws upon their professional competencies to improve clinical service outcomes through effective research and quality improvement activities, and will actively participate statewide and nationally, in acute, sub-acute and Community research, publication and education.
The NP is responsible as a leader, advisor and mentor for other nurses and clinicians to ensure high level clinical excellence in Sub-Acute, Aged and Community Services.

Details of Appointment
Multiple permanent, full time and part time shift-worker positions working up to 76 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible.
*notwithstanding hours may be negotiated with the successful applicant

Salary
$139,948 pro rata per annum + our Employer 11% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.
You’ll have access to salary package a range of benefits including living expenses up to $9,010 + $2,650 in meal entertainment each FBT year + other benefits if eligible.
In addition, the following allowances calculated on the salaried incremental point may be available:
Post Graduate Allowance of up to 7.5% based on qualification type.
Professional Development Allowance of up to $500 per annum.
Salary range is in accordance with Nurses and Midwives (Tasmanian State Service) Agreement 2023
