You will be accountable for the provision of quality, operational support and leadership through the focus and development of strategies and programs that promote the Institute’s Educational Excellence Framework.
This position directly supports the Manager and peers in the Building and Construction business area in managing and leading the implementation of educational excellence, business growth and opportunities that enhance the Institute’s reputation and meets industry and community needs in the course areas as designated.
The incumbent is a key member of Building and Construction Education Manager Network within Chisholm and provides contemporary teaching and learning leadership and expertise in their subject matter area and educational excellence.
Your key accountabilities will be to:
Coordinate and delegate tasks to the team to deliver operational outcomes including Teacher Performance, timetabling, resource allocation, teacher loads and student progress
Lead the design, development, delivery and evaluation of innovative, customised, high quality vocational education and training responses for identified students and clients
Implement methods and strategies to support learners including mentoring and work preparation programs, study skills support, alternative delivery and assessment methodologies, and communication strategies
Engage with employers and industry representatives to ensure teaching materials and content meet industry and employer needs and currency
Contribute to business development activities including tenders and submissions to support business growth and the Institute’s fee for service goals
Deliver courses/programs in defined areas of expertise as required, modelling teaching delivery methods meeting changing needs and commercial requirements
Record, monitor and recommend changes to ensure continuous improvement in teaching operations that meet budget parameters
ABOUT YOU
You will have relevant tertiary qualification in:
Adult Teaching qualification at an AQF Level 6 or higher
Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40116)
Vocational qualifications Diploma of Building Construction or Advanced Diploma of Building Design (Architectural)
Registration with professional bodies as required for the teaching discipline
Strong digital literacy skills – Project management, BIM, SharePoint, LMS
Crucial to your success will be your proven track record in the delivery and development of contemporary educational programs, approaches and developments that meet learner, industry and community needs. You will also have a proven ability to design and deliver succinct, up to date and engaging program materials and training sessions as well as the ability to identify potential and existing setbacks and challenges in a classroom environment and effectively resolve these.
You are a highly motivated educator with exceptional interpersonal and communication skills presentation skills, a range of literacy, written and communication skills. Your organisational skills and the ability to coordinate resources in significant program areas, captured through Institute policies and processes.
