Avalon English Language College is a privately owned, thriving, innovative small business. We provide quality English language education for international students in a sensitive and caring boarding environment. Students range in age from 10-17 and are drawn from a wide range of overseas destinations.
Avalon College operates 24 hours a day, seven days a week for 50 weeks of the year.
The person we are looking for in this newly created position will be a strong leader with extensive experience and commitment to deliver a high-quality education program. The position is part-time 0.6 but candidates may also opt to join our teaching cohort on a 0.2 or 0.4 basis.
The Education Manager role encompasses -
- development and implementation of strategic plans; policies and procedures
- management of the day-to-day operations of the College including staff, students and regulatory compliance
- ensuring that we are providing a high quality English language program for the provision of exceptional care and support for our students
- lead and manage a team of administrative and boarding staff; providing guidance and support to achieve performance targets
- Marketing - building and maintaining strong relationships with industry partners; schools; regulatory authorities and government. Represent the College at industry events, forums and conferences both domestically and internationally
- Meet with new students and their families for induction and enrolment processes
