Educator - Certificate Iii - Townsville

At Lutheran Education Queensland Early Childhood & OSHC Services we are passionate about providing quality education and care within a Christian environment to children attending our Services throughout Queensland.

St Paul's Lutheran Early Learning Centre in Townsville provides high quality Long Day Care for children aged 6 weeks to 5 years and a Kindergarten Program in a safe, nurturing and happy environment. The Service is open Monday to Friday from 6.30am to 6:00pm.

The position

We are looking for a part time Certificate III qualified Educator to join our friendly and professional team.  We are excited to offer flexible working arrangements for the right applicants!

Educator responsibilities include:

• Actively supervising and engaging children in a variety of activities, both indoors and outdoors.
• Providing all children with a safe, secure and welcoming environment.
• Building meaningful relationships with children, families and the school community.
• Working collaboratively within a team to ensure the best outcomes for children and families.
• Undertaking general cleaning tasks.

Selection Criteria

The successful applicants will be passionate about early childhood and have the following:

• Certificate III Early Childhood Education.
• Current Blue Card.
• Current First Aid and CPR.
• Previous childcare experience.
• Knowledge of the National Quality Standards and the National Framework.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to positively and proactively engage with staff, children and families.
• Be professional, respectful and reliable.
