The Centre for U is a state-of-the-art training and well-being support centre located in North Melbourne. The facility has been established to provide quality training to Electrical Trades Union (ETU) members and the broader electrical industry. Due to expanding our training we also have a facility in Melbourne's South Eastern suburbs. Our training focuses on upskilling electricians and lineworkers to advance their careers, maintain industry currency, or help them return to work if they are unemployed.
We are seeking a dynamic and driven educator to deliver accredited and non-accredited electrotechnology and industry safety training programs.

About the role:
A full-time role reporting directly to the General Manager, responsibilities include;
- Be responsible for the planning and delivery of accredited and non-accredited electrical and safety training,
- Lead the review and continuous improvement processes of learning and assessment resources
- Undertake applicable administration for courses delivered
- Participate in the validation of assessment resources
- Periodically consult with the industry to maintain the relevance of training products
- Work collaboratively with The Centre for U staff to ensure that services delivered are of the highest standard
- Support our learner's needs to ensure success and satisfaction
- Undertake ongoing professional development to ensure both industry and training currency
Criteria:
- ESV- A Grade Electrician’s licence
- TAE40110 (with upgrades) or TAE40116 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or Higher
- Demonstrate evidence of industry currency – minimum 5 years of industry experience and willingness to participate in ongoing industry placement
- Working with Children’s Check
- Possess outstanding communication and presentation skills
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Intermediate LMS and Microsoft Office skills
To succeed in this key role you will need to demonstrate experience and passion for trade-based vocational education and training encompassing 'hands-on' learning and leadership capacity.
An attractive package of up to $131K* (+ 13% super) is available based on previous skills and experience (*increases annually).
