Mary MacKillop Childcare North Queensland provides high-quality provision of care to families across the Diocese of Townsville, which stretches from Ingham in the North, Proserpine in the South, Mount Isa in the West and Palm Island to the East. We have grown to include 6 Early Learning Centres, 9 Kindergartens and 14 Outside School Hours Care centres. At Columba Kindergarten and Care, Charters Towers we provide long day-care for children aged 3-5 through a Queensland Government approved Kindergarten program. We offer before, after school care and vacation care for not only children that attend the school but also the greater community. About the position Charters Towers is seeking Casual Educators to commence as soon as practical, working split shifts between 7.00am-5.30pm Monday to Friday. You will be a valued Educator who provides high quality practices to ensure a safe, inclusive, and engaging environment for children. Each of our services have Qualified Leaders who lead, motivate and drive our friendly teams. Our educators are dedicated and passionate about early childhood education. What you’ll need to succeed:
Currently studying, enrolled or completed a minimum Certificate III in Early Childhood or an ACEQUA equivalent qualification
Keen interest in working within the childcare/education sector
Current Working with Children Check (Blue Card)
Current First Aid Certificate Including CPR, Asthma and Anaphylaxis or ability to obtain before commencement
Ability to learn new systems and child care management software
The ability to work effectively in a close-knit team environment
