About the role

The eHealth Team supports the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) as part of the Eastern Health ICT Strategy entitled “Great Digital Information – Transforming Health Care into Great Health and Wellbeing”

The primary roles of eHealth Developer and Reporting Analyst are: 

  • Develop and maintain software build 
  • Formulate reports and dashboards 
  • Develop and maintain functional specifications, software releases, testing and defect resolution 
  • Be an expert source of advice for development and Reporting aspects of the Oracle Health Millennium platform 

About you 

To be successful in this role you will possess:

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in a Health discipline, Information Technology or Information Systems, Computer Science, or equivalent work experience. 
  • Ability to analyse stakeholder requirements to ensure elevated levels of accuracy, timeliness, and usefulness for the business. 
  • Strong experience with common development skills e.g. database queries, git/version control, documentation, change control, testing and release techniques 
  • Knowledge of Database theory and practice (database design, server architecture) 
  • Demonstrated CCL (Discern Explorer) or SQL experience 
  • Strong Experience with Web Technologies incl. HTML/XHTML, XML, XSLT, XPATH, JSON, node.js and npm 
  • Elevated level of computer literacy in Microsoft Office Applications 
  • Proven ability to communicate, both verbally and in writing, in a clear, concise, and logical and effective manner 
  • Demonstrated ability to manage several concurrent tasks and adapt to changes in the work environment.   
  • Self-motivated and able to work without supervision

Essential: Self-motivated and able to work without supervision Essential: Up to date vaccination record Essential: Current valid Driver’s License Desirable: Experience in developing in any of: CCL (Discern Explorer), Discern Rules, HL7/FHIR, Python Desirable: Experience in a hands-on reporting role Desirable: Knowledge of the Oracle Health/Cerner Millennium Solutions (PowerChart, FirstNet, SurgiNet, SurgiNet Anaesthesia, Device Integration, ICU and Care Delivery) and Patient Administration Systems (iPM) Desirable: Business Intelligence experience – e.g. Power BI or other reporting tool use, dashboard design Desirable: Basic clinical concepts / healthcare experience / understanding of Health terminologies Desirable: Experience in health quality processes and familiarity with National Safety and Quality Health Service (NSQHS) Standards Desirable: Business requirements analysis / workflow mapping experience Desirable: Data warehouse design and implementation Desirable: Experience in data mapping Desirable: Experience in applications of Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning
