Could you be the Health Safety & Environment Coordinator working on a FIFO 12 month fixed term contract basis from Perth-Pilbara, WA that we're looking for?

Your future role:


Working on the BHP Rail Technology Project, you'll influence change and adherence for EHS management to help provide a safe and healthy environment to our people and to our contractors across the project. You will work closely with teams across the project and business with a mindset for continuous improvement, and analytic thinking.  With your proven EHS expertise, you’ll ensure a safe and healthy environment to our people and to our contractors, assist in monthly reporting and auditing, while also maintaining procedures.

We’ll look to you for: 

  • Supporting the project leaderhsip team in creating and driving 'safety first' culture
  • Ensuring EHS risk assessment is undertaken and that the appropriate measures to control risks are defined.
  • Maintaining EHS records and documentation of the site while monitoring compliance
  • Organising and leading EHS audits and incident investigations
  • Preparation of statistical reporting for internal and external stakeholders
     

All about you:

We are seeking a motivated and proactive individual who is passionate about problem solving. You will also have;

  • Cert IV or Diploma in Workplace Health and Safety
  • Strong working knowledge of local legal requirements, especially as it relates to Rail Safety.
  • Initiative, drive and resilience, with the ability to influence people at all levels within the project.
  • Previous experience working within the rail / construction industry or similar safety critical environment.
  • Strong knowledge of safe working systems, rules and procedures
  • Ability to participate in 8 days on, 6 off roster, including night shifts.
