About the Role
The Community Centre Coordinator pro-actively identifies and provides a range of activities to meet the social, recreational and health needs of older people in the local community. They will facilitate activities and programs to a high standard. The Community Centre Coordinator will provide and ensure an appropriate and timely meal service is provided to the community. They will maintain documentation and ensure systems and processes are in place that monitors the Community Centre activities and services. The Community Centre Coordinator will actively gather and act on feedback from the customers and their families regarding community services.
What you’ll be doing
- Pro-actively engaging with the community to identify required activities and services.
- Developing a program of activities and services based on the needs of the community.
- Ensuring activities and services are delivered to a high standard.
- Coordinating meal services to the community.
- Ensuring processes, systems and documentation is in place for the activities and services provided.
- Actively gathering feedback and acting on identified areas of improvement.
Things that matter to us
- Cert III in Community Service
- Experience of coordinating community services within highly regulated environment.
- Experience of working in Aged Care or Community Care.
- Able to demonstrate knowledge about the Aged Care Quality Standards.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Demonstrated high level of interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work as part of a team.
- Ability to problem solve and seek solutions.
- Effective organisational skills and able to work independently and take initiative.
- Current First Aid Certificate and CPR Certificate.
- C Class Driving License and roadworthy vehicle (including business insurance).
