About the Role
As the EHS Manager you will play a role in supporting and driving NovaCina's commitment to improvement and excellence of our Workplace, Health and Safety. This role will be responsible for developing, implementing and facilitating NovaCina's Workplace, Health and Safety programs and policies. This position works in partnership with operational leaders and managers to drive excellence in Health and Safety practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Work with and support the senior leadership team on the implementation of safety standards and responsibilities.
- Promote and be a role model for safety leadership.
- Bring new ideas and contemporary approaches, safety direction, planning and outcomes.
- Support and implement improvements across areas such as EHS policies, procedures and systems.
- Manage the Emergency Response and Crisis Management procedures.
- Involvement with the worker's compensation management of claims.
About you
- A relevant qualification - Degree or Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety, or a related field
- At least 5 years as an EHS professional with an EHS tertiary qualification, or at least 10 years management experience within a similar industry
- A strong understanding of Work, Health and Safety legislation.
- A demonstrated ability to write policies and procedures.
- A strong understanding of compliance and accompanying systems to monitor and measure safety outcomes.
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritise work and meet deadlines, work effectively under pressure without compromising on safety.
