Position Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced RTO Manager to lead our Registered Training Organisation. The RTO Manager will be responsible for strategic and operational management, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, assist with driving business growth, and enhancing student and customer satisfaction. This role is crucial in leading a high-performing team and overseeing all aspects of training delivery and compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the CEO to develop and implement strategic and operational plans to achieve organisational targets. Create budgets, and forecasts to drive growth. Lead Western Training operations in alignment with organisational policies and procedures.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory, quality, and compliance requirements, including ASQA standards and the VET Quality Framework. Develop and maintain a comprehensive compliance framework and continuous improvement processes.
- Ensure all training packages are up-to-date and meet the needs of learners and industry. Collaborate with educational staff to ensure curriculum and delivery methods adhere to compliance standards.
- Manage all aspects of the RTO’s financial performance within budget requirements. Prepare monthly financial and operational reports for senior management.
- Foster a culture of respect and excellence. Develop and maintain strategic partnerships to enhance service delivery. Support students across the student lifecycle.
- Lead a high-performing team, conduct regular training sessions for staff, and manage staff performance, including onboarding, training, and development.
- Ensure familiarity with Learning Management Systems (LMS) and Student Management Systems (SMS). Utilise technology and software to enhance training delivery and administration.
- Develop and implement risk management strategies to identify and mitigate potential risks. Conduct regular risk assessments and develop contingency plans.
- Build and maintain relationships with community organisations and industry groups. Participate in industry forums and events.
- Oversee student support services, ensuring a safe and supportive learning environment.
- Commit to ongoing professional development for self and staff. Stay abreast of developments in the VET sector.
About You
- Proven experience in a senior leadership role within an educational or training organisation.
- Strong understanding of regulatory, quality, and compliance requirements in the education sector.
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in education, training, compliance, or a related field. A Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40116) is highly desirable.
- Excellent knowledge of the VET regulatory framework, including ASQA guidelines.
- Strong strategic planning and business development skills.
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Proven experience as a Compliance Officer or Compliance Manager.
- Proficiency in using technology and software to enhance training delivery and administration.
- Exceptional attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
- A proactive approach to identifying and mitigating risks.
