Highly flexible working days / hours are available – either 3 full days or 4-5 shorter days, and the role will involve a small amount of travel to sites. Working with a supportive local team, as well as a highly experienced regional EHS team, comprehensive training and career development is offered, as well as generous benefits.
Responsibilities include:
- EHS & Employee Wellbeing; including the implementation and maintenance of an appropriate safety culture, providing guidance to stakeholders nationally, conducting EHS investigations & risk assessments, developing and improving environmental health, safety and compliance programs and leading improvement projects across the business.
- EHS Policy & Procedures; ensuring compliance and maintaining a safe work environment for all. Responsibilities include promoting awareness of risk and safety requirements.
- EHS Audits and working in conjunction with relevant stakeholders across the business and in various locations in VIC, WA, NSW and QLD.
- EHS System & Training; developing and implementing EHS Management Systems and Compliance to Legislations as well as Environment Aspects & Impact Registers, HIRAS Registers and monitoring and reporting relevant data.
- Quality & EHS; participating in Quality & EHS eLearning and training programs to align and promote a culture of Integrated Quality, Environment, Health & Safety (QEHS).
Ideal experience:
The ideal candidate will have 5 years + experience in an Environment Health & Safety role, preferably in a similar dynamic environment where they have used a proactive approach towards developing EHS policies and initiatives. Experience with ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 standards preferred. Exceptional communication skills are essential, as is meticulous attention to detail, a methodical and analytical mindset, and an empathetic and approachable manner.
