Due to company growth in Australia this business is seeking a motivated OHS Officer to join their team in Melbourne near Clayton.
- Maintain Head Office safety compliance: e.g., Fire safety audits, vehicle maintenance and audits.
- Keeping informed on all the safety legislation changes and updates nationally
- Induct new staff and subcontractors to our business safety requirements.
- Coordinate the implementation of our HSEQ Management Systems
- Ensure all our top-tier client compliance databases are maintained. Ensure that our staff/subcontractors are compliant.
- Responsible for coordination of all staff/subcontractors maintaining the correct training and certifications e.g., inductions, training, re certification of certain trade licenses, insurances and business certifications are maintained Nationally.
- Participate in client's compliance/safety audits.
- Perform desktop audits and site inspections on a regular basis.
- Participate in Client monthly safety meetings and Internal Management meetings
- Run toolbox and safety meetings.
- Create JD for new roles and upgrade current JDs as per the leadership team's feedback.
- Start to-end Recruitment process, working with the line managers to employ the correct team members.
- Preparing employment contracts and yearly performance management
- Responsible for new staff induction for all HR procedures, e.g.: leave requests, timesheets etc

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
To be considered for this position it is vital that you have the below:
- 2 + year's experience in a similar role such as WHS/OHS/HSE Advisor or Officer
- This HAS to be from a blue colour environment
- Cert 3 or higher in OHS
- Police check
