Your responsibilities will encompass the planning, development, and administration of educational and training programs to ensure adherence to health and Safety policies and procedures. This role requires a comprehensive understanding of regulatory frameworks and proactive initiatives to uphold EHS standards across our operations. As a successful candidate, you will have experience working with flammable chemicals, which is an essential criterion for the position.Key Responsibilities:
- Training: Identify and address EHS training needs across various departments and sites, including Technical and Sales teams.
- Regulatory Compliance: Maintain a strong understanding of relevant regulations and guidelines about chemical manufacturing, engaging with external entities when necessary.
- Non-Conformance Management: Analyse data to identify areas of improvement, assist in developing solutions, and conduct thorough investigations into accidents and non-conformance's.
- Audits & Inspections: Lead audits to ensure compliance with OHS and quality systems, conducting inspections and tests to uphold safety standards.
- Solid understanding of regulatory compliance in chemical manufacturing, particularly in handling, storage, flammable goods, and the transportation of dangerous goods.
- Proven experience with ISO 9001:2015, ISO 45001:2018, and ISO 14001:2015 standards.
- Ability to influence and manage change within a matrix organizational structure.
- Meticulous attention to detail and exceptional time management skills.
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in a relevant EHS role.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualifications in OH&S management (Chemical Engineering background highly desirable).
- Formal training in internal auditing methodologies.
- Be a hands-on people person with the ability to get the job done.
