About the role
Global recruitment of medical specialists and brand awareness is at the forefront of the marketing strategy and growth plans, the marketing team plays a key role in the overall business strategy. An exciting opportunity exists to join this global team and execute events, marketing and communications activities.
Based in either the Sydney or Melbourne Office and reporting to the Global Director of Marketing Communications (based in London), you will be responsible for;
- Planning, management and execution of the Global Events strategy, including hands-on delivery of local Events and measurement and analysis of event performance;
- Execution of global recruitment campaigns, including creative development, campaign assets / collateral, digital activation, reporting and optimisation (activation and reporting via HubSpot tech stack);
- Monitoring and optimising the performance of 'always on' marketing channels;
- Local stakeholder liaison and management, including medical industry experts, the ANZ Executive team and associated clinicians; and
- Supplier management as required, including brand and design agency, industry advertising platforms and several Events and exhibition-related suppliers.
About you
This is an exciting opportunity for a marketer with event management experience, gained with other medical organisations, member associations, universities or similar.
To be considered for this role, your background and experience must meet the following criteria:
- Sydney or Melbourne based, with the ability to perform the role at least 2 days per week from the office in that City;
- Ability to commit to the initial length of the contract (12 months), with a possibility of extension;
- Willingness to commit to 1 - 2 weekly meetings after hours to connect with the global team and occasionally travel interstate or to NZ;
- Tertiary qualifications in marketing, business, communications or a similar field preferred;
- At least 5 years of experience in event management, event marketing and Marketing campaign execution;
- Strong experience in end to end event management and execution, including post-event analysis and reporting;
- Ability to work autonomously, proactively reaching out for advice, support and input as required from wider marketing, executive and leadership teams; and
- Shows consistent ability to measure, monitor and optimise marketing performance using performance data.
