The Director Advanced Test & Training Environments leads the definition, development and operation of Air Force's Advanced Test and Training Environment (ATTE).Position responsibilities include:
- Delivering a capability that maximises Defence's return on simulation and physical range assets, by merging Joint and Single Service strategies;
- Leading a complex and diverse workforce of 150 staff including geographically remote work sites;
- Managing an Enterprise Level sustainment arrangement in partnership with Defence Capability Acquisition and Sustainment Group;
- Management of the Woomera Prohibited Area (WPA) including coordination and deconfliction of a long-term program of complex trials;
- Stakeholder management (state and national level), both internal and external to Defence. Specific appreciation of non-Defence stakeholders across the WPA; and
- Exercise Ministerial delegation to manage non-Defence stakeholders from some or all of the WPA.
