Land Explosive Ordnance Systems Program Office (LEOSPO) is an integral part of Explosive Materiel Branch, which is part of the new Guided Weapons Guided Weapons & Explosive Ordnance Delivery Division. Our team is made up of various disciplines (including engineering, project management, commercial, logistics, and corporate enabling services). We are primarily located in Canberra and Penrith and our focus is to acquire and sustain Explosive Ordnance for the Australian Defence Force. Our ideal candidate will;Be a highly proactive and organised Engineer;
Have demonstrated experience in leading a team to deliver high quality engineering activities, including producing detailed engineering reports and artefacts,
Presenting information and advice to inform executive decision making;
Have a background in mechanical, chemical or electrical engineering;
Be a clear and concise communicator (written and verbal), strong leader and team player, able to analyse, interpret and apply engineering guidance, policy and regulations, influence stakeholders and evaluate strategies to achieve outcomes; and
Take the initiative to resolve issues by identifying and developing ideas through analysis of alternative courses of action, whilst identifying their implications and associated risks.
