This government department is charged with the responsibility for national policies and programs that help deliver a strong and fair society for all Australians.
Your new role:
- Working with state and territory governments on reforms that better meet the needs of participants who interface with mainstream systems, including justice, child protection, health, housing, education and transport systems.
- Working closely with Commonwealth departments through Disability Reform Ministerial Council to develop Commonwealth positions that achieve improved participant outcomes.
- Seeking and analysing expert advice from various business areas, forming an Agency position and leading negotiations with external stakeholders and influencing decision-making.
- Developing comprehensive briefings that support Senior Executives to engage in disability ecosystem reform discussions with governments and stakeholders, including developing briefing and correspondence for the Minister, NDIA Board and the Executive.
- Analysing, interpreting and presenting structured and unstructured data that supports decision-making.
- Ensuring performance and reporting requirements are met within standards and quality standard.
What you'll need to succeed:
- Strong conceptual, analytical and research skills, including demonstrated sound judgement and innovative problem-solving skills.
- Demonstrated management skills and experience.
- Demonstrated strong writing skills, including the ability to write high level documents including briefing papers, reviews, submissions and meeting papers.
- Experience and capability in stakeholder engagement and liaison and navigating complex situations with a variety of stakeholders.
- Manage priorities and adjust milestones as required to achieve key outcomes; adhere to documented procedures and assist in the completion of tasks
