Your new role
Based just outside of the Melbourne CBD, this position is an exciting opportunity, working for a large Federal Government Agency, within a strong and established research and evaluation team. The Assistant Director will be managing an implementation and effectiveness evaluation of a pilot program focusing on development delay in children.
This role is ideal for candidates with a background in research project management, strong evaluation experience, experience leading large clinical trials or with an allied health background working in research of children experiencing developmental delay (e.g. speech pathologist, occupational therapists, nurse etc).
On offer is a 12 month labour-hire contract with potential to extend beyond, based in Richmond with flexible working arrangements.
Duties and responsibilities in these positions include but are not limited to…
Collaborate effectively with external and internal stakeholders to strategically plan, execute, and oversee comprehensive evaluations.
Preparation of ethics and site governance applications.
Lead the collection and analysis of qualitative and quantitative data types, coordinating activities with the Research and Evaluation Branch team.
Leading and conducting the evaluation in accordance with relevant guidelines, procedures, ethics requirements and agency standards.
Preparing and presenting reports and slide-pack summaries for internal and external stakeholders.
Working, contributing and assisting where required cross-functional teams/projects within the Research and Evaluation Branch.
Designing and conducting other research projects, including working with people with various types of disabilities and from various cultural backgrounds.
Communicate and support the implementation of research findings.
The ideal candidate for this role will be professional, confident and have demonstrated experience in the following areas…
Experience evaluating large programs or working on clinical trials within the health sector
Experience in using a range of different evaluation methods to analysis quantitative and qualitative data
Exceptional stakeholder engagement, collaboration and management skills
Demonstrated ability to work with external and internal stakeholders to scope, deliver and govern the evaluation.
Demonstrated experience delivering end to end formative and impact evaluations which have informed change.
Although not essential, the following qualifications/experience will be held in high regard when shortlisting application;
Either an academic or evaluation qualification.
Experience designing evaluations and producing evaluation logics that reflect the stakeholders/Agency’s needs.
What will you need to be successful in this role
As this role will be working within a Federal Department, it is essential that you:
Are an Australian Citizen
currently hold or have the ability to pass a national police check
Availability to work full-time hours Monday - Friday on a long term basis
