So, what are the roles?
EL1 Assistant Director – Organisational and Employee Wellbeing
We’re looking for someone who has a passion for staff wellbeing and professional development. Ideally, you will have a broad experience in developing and delivering a range of training programs and experience in the provision of evidence informed psychotherapeutic interventions. Your responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Managing and promoting staff well-being programs in accordance with the strategic direction of the organisation under the Mental Health and Wellbeing Strategic Framework.
- Providing analysis on current psychological trends in organisational health and staff wellbeing
- Management of a small caseload in the provision of counselling and brief interventions to staff
- Oversight and facilitation of external psychological consultants (including workplace professional development and training initiatives)
- Providing other services and specialist input to management and stakeholders on behavioural science related issues.
Using your analytical, assessment and psychological risk knowledge, you will provide the agency with initial and ongoing assessments of employee suitability to work in a highly secure environment. You will be responsible for:
- Pre-employment screening and Person, Role and Environment Assessments
- Psychological management plans, management support and compliance oversight
- Providing advice of the management of individual in support of security requirements
- Positive deterrents research and developments
- Policy and program development
- Post-graduate studies, or completing studies in Clinical, Organisational or Forensic Psychology
- 2 years (minimum) of post-graduate experience
- Unconditional registration as a Psychologist with the Australian Health Professionals Regulations Agency
- Eligibility for full registration with the Australian Psychological Society, preferably with endorsement in one of three fields listed above.
- NV1 (minimum) security clearance
Both roles will be offered as an initial 12-month non-ongoing contract with a possibility of becoming permanent.
