About the company
Karlka Recruiting Group has partnered with a Federal Government Agency to engage 2 EL1 Senior Business Analysts. This is an initial non-ongoing contract until 30 June 2025.
Role 1 (Agile Implementation Project):
- Developing a business case and value propositions
- Reviewing and gathering existing business requirements documents and identifying gaps.
- Working with stakeholders
- Preparing procurement documentation
- Creating and maintaining project documentation
- Mapping current and future state processes
- Work with training managers and BAU support group
- Liaising with potential vendors throughout the procurement and contract negotiation process.
- Providing support and guidance to the implementation team
- Translating business requirements into technical specifications
Role 2 (Market Refresh Project):
- Analyse current business processes and data flows to identify gaps and opportunities for improvement
- Define and document business requirements and specifications using modern elicitation techniques
- Collaborate with vendor, IT team, and staff to design, configure, test, and deploy a solution that meets business needs and expectations.
- Support user acceptance testing
- Work with training managers and the BAU support group
- Monitor and evaluate performanceWork with Product Owners to determine backlog priorities, plan showcase workshops, and assess the impact of requirement changes.
- Maintain product backlog using the Department’s DevOps application
Requirements/Skills
- At least 5 years of experience as a Business Analyst or consultant in the life sciences industry.
- Bachelor's degree in business, information systems, biotechnology, or related field.
- Experience with LIMS implementation, configuration, and validation.
- Knowledge of laboratory workflows, data standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Excellent stakeholder, communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience working independently and as part of a cross-functional team.
- Ability to quickly adapt to highly technical areas such as biotechnology and diagnostics.
- Experience working with scientists and promoting compliance with departmental policies and guidelines.
